Information
While there is still no universal alignment on the AI and AI systems definition, the potential of AI applications across industry sectors and academia is undeniable.
Still, the operationalization and scaling up of AI systems is not a given. The upcoming AI Act aims to create a transparent and coherent framework for AI systems, but related obligations create concerns about conformity requirements and a possible slowing down of deployment of AI solutions.
The workshop brings together representatives of different stakeholders of the AI ecosystem: manufacturing industry, startups, academia and standardization to discuss about definition and applications of AI, advantages, challenges and opportunities, regional nuances, along with the expected impact of the upcoming AI Act and the role of standardization to assess conformity to the AI regulation.
