CANNES NEURONS 2023

For the second edition of the World Artificial Intelligence Cannes Festival (WAICF), the Cannes Neurons honored the most innovative and impactful Artificial Intelligence (AI) projects.

A jury composed of 12 world-renowned AI experts selected 6 finalists from among the many candidates.

On Thursday, February 9, 2023, the 6 finalists of the Cannes Neurons Awards took the stage at the WAICF to present their innovative AI projects to an audience gathered at the Cannes Festival and Congress Palace. The evening was marked by lively animations, networking breaks, and thrilling battles, all taking place in the following categories:

Inclusive AI: AMADEUS vs NEUROPIN
Sustainable AI: HYPERTUNNEL vs INNOVATION LAB BY LACROIX
Creative AI: UNITREE ROBOTICS vs AUDIO INNOVA

After the battles, the public voted live to elect the winners of the 2023 Cannes neurons awards.

CONGRATULATIONS TO THE WINNERS:

Inclusive AI : NeuroPin

Project objectives: NeuroPin improves radiology and chronic patient care by developing AI-based clinical neuroimaging software. This software aims to standardize measurements, establish personalizable benchmarks, and provide quantifiable brain charts for population-level comparisons.

Sustinaible AI : Innovation Lab By Lacroix

Project objectives: We aim to achieve about 15% reduction of air pollution due to mobility and more than 30% of peaks pollution thanks to a combination of AI and embedded AI.

Creative AI : Audio Innova

Project objectives: Design of an international standard for creating digital copies of music recordings on open-reel magnetic tapes, and suitable for long-term preservation and correct playback of a digitized - and maybe restored - recording.
