Information

    Military flight simulation has historically been a field of application for development and exploration of models and algorithms.

    Relatively recent news in Artificial Intelligence has shown this through Psybernetix's Alpha AI in 2015, up to DARPA's AlphaDogfight competition in 2020, in works ultimately exposing a confrontation between AI and the fighter pilot.

    AlphaWingman is a French Air and Space Force innovation project. It aims to explore the use of the most recent technologies in AI. The approach in this project rather targets the search for performance in the duo: combat pilot and AI.

    This workshop will introduce:

    • The approach followed by the project, which relies on an eSport context to carry out its explorations.
    • Some first achievements.
    • Possible future areas of collaboration.
