It goes without question that AI already has and will continue to transform society substantially within the course of our lifetimes. The most pressing question now is how this societal transformation will take place, and what the repercussions will be.
The Institute for Ethics in Artificial Intelligence (IEAI) at the Technical University of Munich is one of the leading institutions working on explicitly on questions surrounding the ethical and responsible use of AI. The IEAI’s research poses questions such as, “What should be possible in AI?,” and “How can we ensure that as many people as possible benefit from AI’s rewards?”
In this session, we will demonstrate our research activities at the forefront of these debates, looking at examples in healthcare, the extractive industries, and AI regulation and governance. Join us to see how researcher is making a significant impact this the AI ethics space.
