Laurent Guengant joined Hitachi in 2007 and currently serves as a Global Vice President, Strategy and Operations in the Environmental Business Division. Laurent also leads the group's Corporate Venture Strategy for the EMEA region. His focus areas include e-mobility and electric vehicle value chain, carbon accounting platforms, energy efficient buildings, Scope 4/avoided emission methodologies, and more generally, the growth acceleration of 'green businesses'.  Laurent spent several years at Hitachi working on the implementation of corporate incubation and acceleration models, and more recently, added a Public/Private Partnership dimension to these initiatives.   Prior to Hitachi, Laurent worked primarily in the telecommunication sector in the US and Europe.  Laurent is currently a board member in the “AI for the Planet” global initiative, Lead of the “Green and Digital transition” workgroup of the OECD-B4IG global alliance, and the Hitachi representative for the CSR Europe Green transition initiative. He holds an Engineer Degree from EPITA Engineering School in Paris (with a specialization in Artificial Intelligence), a Master in Business Administration from the SDA Bocconi School of Management and a Master in Public Administration from the London School of Economics.
