- About
- Audio Innova (AI, https://www.audioinnova.com/) is a spinoff of the Padua University founded in 2013 with the mission to bring innovation in the field of digital humanities, taking advantage of the scientific research carried out at Centro di Sonologia Computazionale (http://csc.dei.unipd.it) to solve real life problems. AI is a multidisciplinary small enterprise, but not merely a sum of a bunch of disciplines (information engineering, computer science, mathematics, musicology, archival studies, and economic history). AI is something entirely new: it uses Artificial Intelligence to enable the dialogue among different cultures and populations (Computing and Cultural Heritage; Audio - speech and music - documents: preservation and valorization, Computational Creativity) and to facilitate the inclusion of people with disabilities (e.g., Multimodal interaction for Learning and Well-Being, Acoustic analysis for Safety and Security in the Workplace). AI is one of the founding members of Moving Picture, Audio and Data Coding by Artificial Intelligence (MPAI, a not-for-profit organization which develops standards for data coding using Artificial Intelligence in ICT systems, https://mpai.community/). As MPAI member, AI actively participates on the IEEE Audio Recording Preservation (ARP) standardization redaction (IEEE P3302, https://standards.ieee.org/ieee/3302/11006/).
