- BBSoF is an innovative start-up founded in 2017 in collaboration with the University of Padua aiming to exploit the potential of a patented screening method (ACL Quick Check®) for on the field anterior cruciate ligament injury risk assessment. The team is characterised by experts with over 20 years of experience in biomechanics and more than 300 scientific publications. The patented method is based on an AI driven self-developed markerless motion capture system combined with commercial sensorized plantar insoles to provide a complete biomechanical analysis of the athletes. In order to define athletes injury risk BBSoF applies sophisticated Computer Vision technologies combined with Deep Learning algorithms. A large database of biomechanical variables acquired over the years on athletes is the key ingredient of both the AI driven markerless technique and the injury risk algorithm. Thanks to its expertise in AI, BBSoF is involved in several projects to assist companies in product classification and decision support systems applications.
